This assumes you know how to make a basic google doc – click here for that guide if you need it.
You can use Google Docs to make a Hoot Calendar for your chapter, then send the link to your members for them to view the calendar (which they can do on their phone).
This has the benefit over emailing out a file, because you can make changes to the calendar and members viewing the link will always have the most current version, no need to hunt for where they saved a file, or confusion if they accidentally check an old calendar version.
In this example we’ll use the calendar from my chapter (Montrose Mischief Makers) to show you what I do to set up our chapter’s calendar.

You’ll notice that we also include our RSVP link – this is a Google Form that members can use to RSVP to all our meetups which we find very useful for managing RSVPs. Click here for a guide on how to make one of those
Then below that yearly summary, each month has its own calendar (clicking on the blue month name will take you to that month) where we also mark member birthdays and other important dates, with full details of the meetups below the calendar.
Since we have members who are also in other chapters, we mark those chapter events on the calendar as well, not only so that we know which dates are already taken, but it also helps our members plan their month too.

If you’d like something similar but don’t know how to add in the tables and format it like this, we have a blank calendar you can use and add your own details in – See the guide here
