An easy way to share your chapter’s calendar, facebook group or other important links and information is to put a link in the “signature” of your email.

An email “Signature” is something that will automatically go on the bottom of every email you send out (optionally you can choose to add it to only the emails you want to use it on), which can be used to provide all the links your chapter members might need.

Eg this is the signature that is attached to the bottom of all the emails for the Montrose Mischief Makers chapter.

To set this up, in your gmail account click on the cog icon for settings, then click on “See all settings”

Scroll down to near the bottom of the settings page until you find the “Signature”.

Click on the “+ Create New” button, give it a name.  Then you can put whatever you want to show up as the “signature”.

At the bottom you can select to automatically add that signature to the bottom of your emails.  If you don’t want it automatically added every time (for example you use the same email address for hatting and other things), you can manually add it to any email you want to.

To add (or remove) the signature manually, click on the pen icon “insert signature” at the bottom of the email when you’re creating one.

You can choose to add the signature, or if you want to remove the signature you can select “no signature”
