We are bringing back the annual Melbourne Picnic!
It will be on the First Saturday in December each year. From 11am. Near the Conservatory in Fitzroy Gardens.
This location is close to the cafe and toilets. BYO chair or picnic blanket, lunch for yourself (you can bring something to share with others if you wish). You may wish to bring a parasol for shade and sunscreen. BYO drinks, but no alcohol allowed in the park!
Dress: Normal Hatter clothing or choose to come in fairy/gnome/goblin dress for a bit of fun. We’ll take photos around the fairy tree!
As we can’t reserve a specific spot, we will have to pick a spot that’s vacant on the day, so we’ll aim to set up below the conservatory, or somewhere around that area.
Getting there:
The closest train station is Jolimont, next closest is Flinder’s Street. There is a Jolimont Rd/Wellington Pde tram stop near the cafe. There is very limited metered street parking.
