Sometimes it’s fun to offer a “Lucky Door Prize” to attendees at an event. This can be a small prize or something larger, something themed to your event or a general Hatting theme.
Here’s some suggestions for how to award a Lucky Door Prize.
- If the event is not allocated seating, stick the word “winner” or a cutout of a red hat, or a red ribbon under a chair at random, then during the event ask the ladies to stand up and look under their chairs to see who is the winner.
- Place a special sticker on the back of a placemat at random, then ask the ladies to look under their placemats to see who got the sticker.
- Play a game of bingo
You could have 1 lucky door prize, or a couple of door prizes.
At a larger event with multiple attendees you could have a collection of different prizes and let the winners choose which prize they would like (they could all be wrapped so they do not know the contents, or left unwrapped so they can choose something they would like.)
